About American pokeweed

American pokeweed is a real treat for any garden that wants to support wildlife. The delicate pink and white flower clusters bloom throughout the summer and into early fall, bringing pollinators buzzing in. Come late summer, the plant produces beautiful dark berries that birds absolutely love. Songbirds will visit your yard to feast on them, making it a wonderful way to enjoy nature right outside your window. It's a native perennial, so once established, it keeps coming back year after year without fussing.

Growing pokeweed is wonderfully simple. It's a forb, which means it's herbaceous and doesn't get woody. Plant it in a spot with part shade, and it'll do just fine in most soils. Let nature do the work, and enjoy watching your birds and pollinators thrive. You've got this!
